
Media Art Contest
Each participating institution will submit a media art piece in the form of film or animation to the organizing Committee before the offline event for review and approval. The theme is “Future Media: Environment, Rivers and People” Below are the three areas that you can submit your art piece under.
Short Film
Short films in a real life/movie format to convey the topic of Climate Change and Cities.
Animation Art
Visually narrate stories through creating animated visuals to effectively depict the topic of Future Media: Environment, Rivers and People.
New media Art
Installation Art, Interaction Design, and more to create a description of your work in video form.
Artificial Narration
Relying on AI technology and integrating innovative means such as generating images, data narratives, interactive art and visualization design, the exhibition will deeply explore the complex relationship between human and nature, urban development and technological innovation.
Output Format
1. File Format: mov, avi, mpeg, or VR video based on vive, oculus or mobile device.
2. Resolution: 1920 X 1080 pixels, compression code H.264.24FP or 30FP.
3. Length: Short movie (10-30 minutes) Animation art (3-10 minutes) New Media Art (1-10 minutes) AI Creation (1-5 minutes)
4. Language: If the language of the content is not in English, please add English subtitle to your work.

*All five contents listed above should be compressed into zip file and submitted via registration e-mail to complete the submission.
*No obscene, violence, murder, religious stigmatization, or any illegal contents are accepted.
*Artwork should be created after December of 2024.
*ISMA reserves the right to use the winning or finalist entries for promotional purposes. If the work is used by ISMA for sales purposes, the author will be consulted.
