The 5th International Student Media Arts Exhibition has been successfully held for four times since the first in Qingdao in 2017, the second in Guiyang in 2018, the third in Shanghai-Malaysia in 2019, and the fourth in Cannes, France-Tennessee, USA in 2023 (suspended for three years in 2020 due to the global epidemic), with the participation of nearly 100 international universities across 17 countries. ISMA aims to actively promote the participation and harmonious development of international university students. Through creating artwork as the main theme, the event encourages the involvement and cooperation of international students through various forms such as Media Art Contest and 72-Hour Workshop. ISMA has become an important exhibition and competition for exchanging ideas between international universities and disciplines among the fields of film, animation, and design. 

 

Within the everyday impact of unprecedented changes in our living environment of human beings and cities, we need to act together and do what we can. The goal of this activity is to promote international students to give attention to social development issues such as human beings, cities, and environment through creating innovation on professional film, animation, and interactive design. Through the cooperation and communication among specialists from different nations, the participants develop mutual understanding, responsibility and dedication. Acting together for a better future is the long-term responsibility and obligation of the event.
